Jack Hartman

I frequently use Jack Hartman videos in the classroom to get students up and moving.  He has a large catalog of videos on YouTube.  I encourage you to explore his various videos with your child.

Singer Lisa Loeb has created playlists for children on her YouTube channel. Enjoy singing along and laughing with your child.

 

Art Projects

Author and illustrator Mo Willems is showing children how to draw characters in a daily video on YouTube. Your child could draw along with Mo and dictate a story for you to help write down on the paper I posted above. Mo's website offers games and more to explore.

Directed Drawing    

Shortly before school closed in March I had begun doing directed drawing activities with students where they would copy different portions of a picture as I drew along with them. There are many websites dedicated to these types of activities that may be located using an online search engine. The website linked above offers a new design roughly every other week. These pictures may also be used as a launching point for a story created by your child.
